Small steps towards great world

I have realized the significance of small steps towards a great world only after I carefully noticed how my little daughter, Sudhriti, learning how to walk. Like any other child, she started with crawling, then trying to stand with someone's help, and now, with slightest possible opportunity, she rushes out of the main door.....may be towards a great world. May be the greatness of the world enthralls her so much, that she immediately returns to her small world.


The same phenomenon hold good for all spheres of our lives. When I was a fresher, looking at the famous Employment News that time, I used to be astonished, as to how companies require professionals with 15 yrs experience!! 15 looong years, oh my god. But today, all those small steps have fetched 15 long years of experience in my professional career, too. But the world is even greater, and dont know how many such small steps would suffice that. 


Have plan to pen down some more thoughts on this theme. Share your view, all.

Known-known faces, are they half-known? A full life makes the faces full-known! This was my preconceived notion when the idea of a re-union was being nestled. “Ek hi toh hain”

I know this driver, at his 50s, who drives one of my Company’s vehicles; very humble, submissive and ever smiling, named Tajuddin. Apart from his gentle nature, I have noticed a unique feature in him. Whenever he passes by a Temple, he would salute the god or goddess there, with the same devotion as he does when he passes a Durgah . One day, I asked him about this and he, very humbly, uttered a simple sentence, “Ek hi hain na, sir”. What a matured statement, what a sign of endurance and respect for others ! I did never imagine this thought from a person, who has spent his life time in front of the steering wheel. This has provoked a serious thought process in me, as to whether we realize in our everyday’s life the value of this “oneness”!! If you concentrate in this festive season, the essence of “oneness” is very evident. Is Your Everyday A New Day?

I was having a soul-searching discussion with one of my childhood friends who is associated with one of the premier organizations whose tag line says “Imagination at Work”. This friend of mine has joined them as a Management Trainee around 20 years back and is still continuing with flying colours. In an era, when continuing in any organization for long seems to be cliched, our discussion eventually centred around that point, “what made you stick to a single employer for so long?” He proudly proclaimed, “my everyday at this organization, is a new day”. Are all professionals equally lucky to enjoy a ‘new day’ everyday or get entangled in unavoidable mundane routine stuff?
